The trailer for Martin Scorsese's 'Silence' is here, and it's stunning

It’s fair to say that Silence — a movie Martin Scorsese has wanted to make for a long, long time and one which has been tipped as an Oscar contender — is highly anticipated. In fact, that would be a huge understatement.

Judging by the two-minutes of sweet trailer footage released on Wednesday morning, the film is going to be a beautiful one.

Silence is based on a 1966 novel by Shüsake Endö. In the clip above, we see Jesuit missionaries Adam Driver and Andrew Garfield setting out on a mission to Japan to track down their former mentor Liam Neeson. Read more…
