Practical gadgets, like USB hubs and microSD cards, are discounted today

The gadget discounts you need to know about today range from Vizio’s P-Series Quantum X TV and handy USB hubs to microSD cards. For the most part, we’re leaning on practicality for the deals today, but these can help you have some fun, too.
Starting with the least expensive deal, Anker’s four-port USB 3.0 hub is $6.99 today at Amazon with the offer code AKUSBHUB used at checkout. It’s $3 less than it usually costs. Since I’ve been working from home, I’ve found that my PC’s USB ports are in short supply. (I got an Oculus Rift to play Half-Life: Alyx, which might have something to do with this problem.) If you’re as annoyed as I am to be frequently swapping this for that on the back of your PC or laptop, it might be time to make this simple, cheap upgrade to expand your ports. Keep in mind that this model isn’t suited for charging devices, just for data passthrough. If power is what you need, check out this model from Anker, which is also discounted today.

Best Buy has marked down several of SanDisk’s microSD cards, which are essential for expanding the storage in your phone, tablet, action camera, or Nintendo Switch. If you want a bunch of storage, you can buy SanDisk’s card with 400GB of storage for $70.
On the more affordable end, the 128GB microSD card is $25.
Both of these cards are a little more expensive than Amazon’s pricing for the 128GB and 400GB models. However, Best Buy currently has earlier shipping dates — as soon as later this week for orders compared to early May at Amazon. So whether you want them sooner versus a little more affordably may guide your decision.

If you’re looking for a TV recommendation for no more than $1,000, Vizio’s 65-inch P-series Quantum X 4K HDR TV is scooting in at that very price today at Target. This model usually costs $1,500. As for why you might want this model versus, say, TCL’s significantly less expensive 6-series TV, here are a few differences:
The Quantum X has a peak brightness of 2,900 nits, and its 384 full-array local dimming zones allow for enhanced contrast and deeper black colors. It also offers support for Apple AirPlay 2. All of these specs go above what TCL’s model offers, though it’s a given since the price is a few hundred dollars higher.
