With Korean pop-culture spreading its wings globally, Netflix is moving quickly to jump on the K-drama bandwagon.

The streaming TV provider just announced plans to produce its first ever original Korean drama series, slated to be out in 2018.

The series, titled Love Alarm, tells the story of a developer who releases a controversial app which lets users know if someone within 10 meters has romantic feelings for them.

The 12-episode series is based on a popular webtoon by Kyi Young Chon, a popular South Korean comic author.
