IMDb meets Bollywood, launches 'India Spotlight'


The world’s largest movie database is finally ready to look at Bollywood. 

Amazon-owned IMDb announced Thursday it is adding an “India Spotlight” to its website. The new section features several recently released Bollywood titles and also has news articles and other updates from India’s movie industry.

“Now, in addition to being your authoritative destination for information on international movies and TV shows, you can also rely on IMDb as the entertainment destination that will keep you up to date on Indian movies and celebrities,” IMDb Founder and CEO Col Needham said in an email sent to many IMDb users in India Thursday.
