Long before Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone serenaded viewers with La La Land, Debbie Reynolds and Gene Kelly were Singin’ in the Rain.

Reynolds, who died Wednesday just one day after her daughter actress Carrie Fisher, was Hollywood’s “lucky star” (exactly how her character was described in the iconic 1952 musical).
