Though deep-fried turkey sounds like a delicious addition to your Thanksgiving meal, it’s important to take the proper precautions so that you don’t accidentally set everything on fire. 

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission staged a presentation highlighting the dangers of careless holiday cooking. Specifically, it addresses what can happen when a turkey that isn’t completely thawed meets hot oil. 

Be careful out there this Thanksgiving, lest you wish to ignite an enormous fireball.
