Carrie Fisher had a heart attack on a flight from London to LAX and was in critical condition, law enforcement officials said Friday afternoon. She was later said to be “out of emergency” and stabilized, according to her brother Todd.
The actress and author was aboard a United Airlines flight from London to LAX when she went into what was initially described as “full cardiac arrest.”
Fellow passengers tweeted that she had stopped breathing and that a doctor and nurse onboard administered CPR.
She was later taken from the plane at LAX by EMTs at around midday local time, according to the reports. Calls and emails to Fisher’s publicists were not immediately returned. Read more…
